1. The flower represents that Parvana whats to let the women in the window that she will miss her. The author chose this conversation to tell us that in Kabul at that time they had no flowers there so it is not pretty.

2. What do you think of Parvana's father's decision to leave Kabul and look for the rest of her family even though he's not well? What would you do in his place? Explain your answer.
2. I think when he heard the news that the Taliban has taken over the city of Mazar and killed everybody there and he got worried and told Parvana to go with him to see if there family is ok. If I was him I would do the same thing because if I heard news that the place that my family lives Is taken over by guys with guns I would go and see if there are alright.

3. I liked the part when Parvana and Shauzia had to go and dig the bone because it was kind of exciting to see if one of them touched a land mine.
